Saturday 21st of June 2008
A number of companies operating in different parts of the world are gearing up for an industry event focussing entirely on the future of flash memory products.
The Flash Memory Summit will see design, marketing and business experts come together in San Diego to discuss how flash memory can and will be utilised in years to come.
San Diego is in California's so-called Silicon Valley and organisers of the event that gets underway on August 12th have noted that flash memory duplication and related services are becoming increasingly important in a variety of industries.
"What new products can you create, how do you design efficiently and how do you cope with rapid changes in the market? These are some of the challenges that will be addressed at Flash Memory Summit," explained Tom Coughlin, who is to chair the two-day event.
Scientists at the America space exploration organisation Nasa incorporated flash memory into the design of the crafts that recently landed on Mars and continue to collect and store data.
