SanDisk has unveiled its latest memory card offering dubbed the Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo.
The device is described as being ideal for both professional and advanced amateur photographers given it rapid read and write speeds and extensive memory capacity.
Currently being exhibited at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Extreme III Memory Stick is set to be made available for purchase from June and will be offered in four and eight gigabyte varieties.
Among the benefits SanDisk claims its newest memory cards offer a capacity to function at temperatures ranging from minus 13 to 185 degrees fahrenheit.
"The SanDisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo continues our tradition of delivering best-in-class performance in the SanDisk Extreme product line," said Susan Park, from the company's product marketing department.
Earlier this month, SanDisk launched what it claims are the first set of premium memory cards designed specifically for use with mobile phones.
