Transcend unveils 'fashionable USB drive'
Friday 11th of July 2008
A manufacturer of flash memory devices has unveiled its new storage drive featuring an "embossed golden faceplate".
Transcend Information has revealed its 4GB JetFlash V90 Pizazz USB flash drive, which it claims is "truly a fashionable piece of technology".
Measuring 33.8 mm long, 13.1 mm wide and 4.8 mm thick, the JetFlash can also be used as a security key and bookmark library with the company's data management tools.
Austin Huang, regional head of sales for Transcend, said: "USB Flash drives are ubiquitous these days because of their ease of use, small size, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
"However, there are very few manufacturers that can deliver a USB drive that the end users could proudly flaunt as a style statement."
Fans who attended Brett Anderson's show at London's Mermaid Theatre earlier this week all received a copy of his forthcoming album on a USB stick, reports the NME.
