USB drives 'are suitable gifts to clients'
Saturday 19th of July 2008
A manufacturing website has said that USB drives are slicing into corporate demand for CD and DVD duplication due to their "reusability and durability".
Ferret.com claims that due to these reasons they are "suitable gifts" to be given to clients.
It also explains that USB drives have various other advantages over a CD or DVD including their "small" and "compact" nature which can be fitted onto many other items such as key chains, wristbands or into a wallet.
The "greener" choice of a USB drive and its security options are also suggested for reasons it may be preferred to CDs or DVDs.
"USB drives can be coloured and branded with a company logo. This branding remains on the desk of prospective clients and customers long after the message has been seen unlike a CD or DVD which tends to be discarded or filed away soon after use," it claims.
It was recently revealed that Australian musician Jimmy Barnes is to sell USB Alive Drive wristbands on his forthcoming tour, which contain his latest album, a bonus live performance and other videos, photos and biographies.
